EXHIBITION DESIGN

BRANDING + EXHIBITION DESIGN 

Objective: 
Design the graphic system for a new exhibition at MoDA (Museum of Design Atlanta), on “T shirt graphic” topic. And based on key art poster, design a promotional item for the opening night celebration.

 

Audience:

Young college graphic designers who love typography, and hype beast fashion.

Description of Exhibition:
Held at MODA, this immerse experimental exhibition will take you look at top 5 street wear fashion. This event will not only showcase fashion designers but also today’s most recognizable street fashion designs.

Goal/Objective:
Showcase 5 fashion designers and their t shirt designs. Make the campaign loud and fun, engage audiences in the exhibition using space and design elements. For the special something event, pop up will be used to add dimensional to the design.

Five fashion designers selected for this exhibition are: Virgil Abloh, Shawn Stussy, James Jebbia, Gosha Rubchinsky, and Tomoaki Nagao, based on target audience’s interest after interview.

Color: 

Key art poster will be using black and white to emphasis on typography design. Another version of orange and white will be used for fun and fashion. In order to showcase five fashion designers and their work, their most recognizable colors of designs of T shirt are used to represent their characteristics.

Typography:
After exploring different typeface with different layout (which will be showcased in the next page), Helvetica will be used to maintain readability while having an overlap- ping layout.
